Electric Capital Raises $1B in Venture Capital

Cryptocurrency-focused firm Electric Capital has recently raised $1 billion in a fund to invest in several startups.

The company is investing amounts ranging from $1 million to $20 million in projects related to Web 3.0 infrastructure, DeFi, NFT platforms and DAOs. Curtis Spencer, co-founder of Electric Capital, has said:

“We use the infrastructure we have built to provide liquidity, run validators, help teams understand ecosystems with our new data and more.”

Electric Capital, which was founded in 2018, has invested in Gitcoin, Immunefi, Bitwise, dYdX, NEAR, Syndicate and other well-known projects.

The company raised $110 million in August 2020, to launch its second fund.
