MicroBT Launches New Miner Whatsminer M50 Series

Crypto miner maker MicroBT has recently introduced the Whatsminer M50 series at the Bitcoin 2022 conference in Miami.

According to the company, the M50S, M50 and M53 devices are equipped with 5nm chips made by Samsung Corporation. According to the statement shared by the firm, their efficiency is 15% higher than that of the miners of the former M30 series, which the company unveiled back in 2020.

The deliveries of the new models will start in Q3 2022 at 30,000 units per month. Miners are available for order.

The Whatsminer M50S, which is the company’s flagship, can reach a hashrate of 126 TH/s with an energy efficiency of 26 J/TH.

The specifications for the Whatsminer M50 are 114 TH/s and 29 J/TH, respectively, whereas the M53, which is liquid cooled, has a hashrate of 240 TH/s and a consumption of 29 J/TH.
