Crypto Spam Has Grown 4,000% Since 2020

Analytical firm LunarCrush has recently reported that the number of various bots and spam actively distributed in the crypto space by various attackers has grown by almost 4,000%.

According to the company analysts, now the speed of its spread has reached its highest level. The highest rate of spam falls on social networks, the security service of which in recent years has simply not been able to cope with the work of identifying and eliminating it.

Based on the results of the analysis, between 2019 and today, the number of different bots in the crypto sector alone has increased by 3,877%.

Most bot accounts are humans. Due to te fact that there is a real person behind the screen, it is very difficult for automated software to detect an account as “suspicious” and mark it as spam.
