Twitter user adyingnobody has claimed he was able to access 137.21GB of messages from Telegram users, however, representatives of the messenger have not confirmed the leak.

The author of the thread, which has garnered over 7,000 retweets at the moment, claims to have used a software exploit to siphon text files from group chats and private messages from members of the cryptocurrency industry. He has explained:

“Discovered in October 2019, the vulnerability allows access to private group chats if the proper permissions have not been set for them.”

He says the messages contain information about fraudulent crypto projects, sexual violence, pedophilia, contract killings and other compromising details.
