The Aptos team, a “Scalable Blockchain for Billions of People”, has recently completed a $150M Series A funding round led by FTX Ventures and Jump Crypto.
Other participants in the funding round include Apollo, Griffin Gaming Partners, Franklin Templeton, Circle Ventures, Temasek’s Superscrypt, Andreessen Horowitz as well as Multicoin.
The startup has raised a total of $350 million including a seed round in March.
Mo Shaikh, CEO of the project, has said:
“Due to disruptions and downtime, current blockchains are not suitable for mass adoption. Aptos can become a solid foundation for Web3. It will allow users from all over the world to experience the benefits of decentralization.”
The founders of Aptos have previously worked on Facebook’s Diem project.
