Almost $5 million in cryptocurrencies has been stolen from crypto exchange ZB.com by hackers.

According to cybersecurity firm PeckShield, the attackers managed to gain access to wallets and steal funds in more than 20 tokens, including SHIB, AAVE and USDT.

About 2,200 Ether worth up to $3.6 million were placed on one address. Most likely, hackers will send them to transaction mixing service Tornado Cash in order to cover their tracks.

The trading platform unexpectedly announced a temporary restriction on withdrawals and deposits on the balance on Tuesday. The company’s management said they made this decision due to a technical failure that caused errors in the operation of several services.

Representatives of the company have not yet published any official comments in connection with the hack.
