Northzone Attracts €1 Billion for an Investment Fund Focused on Web3

Northzone, a British venture capital firm, has recently raised €1 billion for a fund focused on investments in crypto and fintech startups.

The company, which was founded in 1996, has backed multiple projects including Spotify, iZettle, Klarna, Trustpilot, Kahoot!, Tier, Personio, Zopa, Forto, TrueLayer and Spring Health.

The company has also invested in decentralized identity solution developer Magic Labs, European bitcoin exchange Cryex, and Livepeer video streaming platform based on the Ethereum blockchain.

Wendy Xiao Schadeck, partner of the venture capital firm, has said that the Web3 sector is “key” to Northzone.
