Joseph Lubin: Ethereum’s The Merge is 3rd Major Event in Industry

Joseph Lubin, founder of ConsenSys and one of the creators of Ethereum, has said that the transition of the Ethereum network from PoW to the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm will be “extremely efficient.”

According to him, The Merge will go unnoticed for the end user. He has explained:

“It will be as smooth as if your iPhone or laptop automatically updated its operating system overnight.”

The ConsenSys founder has suggested that the upgrade would be the third major event in the cryptocurrency industry after the advent of Bitcoin and the creation of Ethereum.
