FTX’s CEO Sam Bankman-Fried has spoken in an interview at the DC Fintech Week conference about the possible transfer of the headquarters of the company from the Bahamas to the United States.

According to him, the company will consider such an opportunity after registration with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). He has explained:

“I think if we could get SEC approval, we would feel more confident moving forward as an American company.”

If FTX succeeds, in cooperation with the Commission, up to 75% of the trading platform employees will move to the United States.

Bankman-Fried has also said his company is working with the CFTC and other regulators and politicians to obtain a US license.
