Maincard, a fantasy sports platform deployed on the Polygon network, has just announced the launch of its mainnet.

According to the announcement, the Web3 sports prediction game, which is based on the Polygon network and features NFTs, went live on November 19, right the day before the 2022 FIFA World Cup kicked off in Qatar.

Maincard, which features various novel gameplay dynamics, has run multiple testnets since mid-September with over 14,000 users from 125 countries. It is important to note that early project supporters have already received Maincard NFTs, which are required to play the game.

Simply put, Maincard users can earn crypto by predicting the results of sporting fixtures. All users wanting to play the game must hold a Maincard NFT.

The number of MainCoins users receive for making a correct prediction depends on the rarity of the Maincard NFT they held to vote.

There are two game modes: Battle and Calls.

  • In Battle mode, players use their Maincard NFT to vote on the outcome of matches for various sports.
  • In Calls mode, players face off against each other. In this mode, your opponent takes your Maincard NFT if you guess wrong and they guess right.
