Greenpeace has introduced a new mascot, “Satoshi Skulls,” to represent the “dangerous amounts of pollution” created by BTC mining.

The environmentalists argue that the “outdated code” of the technology is detrimental to the environment, making it an obstacle in the effort to phase out fossil fuels.

People can get a free sticker with the “Satoshi Skulls” and the slogan “Change the code, not the climate,” and Will Foxley, director of media strategy at Compass Mining, praised the mascot as “really cool” and put it as his profile avatar.

Meanwhile, Nic Carter, co-founder of Coin Metrics, has commented that Greenpeace’s campaign against PoW had “accidentally created the most metallic bitcoin art.”
