Hackers Stole $126M in Crypto in January: Report

In December, ImmuneFi reported that the total value of digital currencies stolen by cybercriminals in 2023 exceeded $1.7 billion.

In its most recent study released in January 2024, ImmuneFi found that hackers were able to steal $126 million in digital assets, with 19 successful attacks taking place.

This is a six-fold increase from the damage reported in January 2023. The largest attack targeted the Orbit Bridge protocol, resulting in hackers obtaining tokens worth $81.5 million.

Additionally, the protocols of GMEE, Gamma Strategies, and Radiant Capital were also hacked, with amounts of $15 million, $6.2 million, and $4.5 million being stolen, respectively.
