Donald Trump: Bitcoin is an Additional Form of Currency
During an interview with CNBC, former US President and Republican Party leader Donald Trump shared his views on cryptocurrencies, stating that he would not interfere with their use if he were to win the November election.
Trump acknowledged the growing popularity of cryptocurrencies and the potential they hold as an additional form of currency.
He even admitted to using and allowing others to pay with Bitcoin. However, when asked about investing in cryptocurrency himself, he gave a negative response.
The ex-president also emphasized the importance of the American national currency and equated leaving the dollar standard with defeat. This was not the first time Trump spoke about Bitcoin, as he first mentioned it in July 2019. At the time, he expressed skepticism towards the volatile and unsupported nature of the asset.
