Google’s search service has recently added a new feature that displays the balances of cryptocurrency addresses in various networks including Bitcoin, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Optimism, Polygon, and Fantom.

The displayed balance only shows the native token for each network and the timestamp indicates the balance at the time of the last external transaction. However, there may be a delay in updating the data.

This feature was first introduced in March for Ethereum Name Service domains and in October 2022, Google also added support for Ethereum wallets. Initially, users could search for a specific public address and view the balance directly in the query bar.

In 2024, Google updated its advertising policy to allow the promotion of US-oriented cryptocurrency ETFs and other investment exchange-traded products.
