Joe Vezzani, CEO of analytical firm LunarCrush, stated that although Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have experienced a significant rise in value lately, retail investors have not yet fully embraced the trend.

Compared to the previous surge in the market, interest from retail investors and social media interactions remain relatively low, Vezzani noted.

LunarCrush’s data shows a spike in social media activity surrounding Bitcoin in January and March of this year.

This could be attributed to the approval of spot Bitcoin ETFs by the SEC in January and the record high price of digital gold in March. On the other hand, mentions of Ethereum on social media have remained relatively consistent over the past six months, with a slight decline since March.

This suggests that retail investors may be more focused on Bitcoin rather than the second largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.
