Bitwise: More Than Half of US Advisors Plan to Invest in Crypto This Year

The mainstream adoption of crypto continues to grow, as it moves beyond being limited to niche groups. Bitwise, an asset management firm, conducted a new survey that confirms this trend.

The survey provides insights into how financial advisors in the US are now incorporating crypto into client portfolios and planning for the future. Conducted between November 14 and December 20, 2024, the survey shows a significant change in advisors’ perceptions and actions towards cryptocurrency.

A surprising outcome of the 2024 US elections has been the increase in advisors’ enthusiasm for crypto. 56% of surveyed advisors stated that the election results made them more likely to invest in crypto in 2025.

The number of advisors including crypto in client portfolios has also risen substantially. In 2024, 22% of advisors reported allocating to crypto in client accounts, a significant increase from just 11% in 2023.
