International authorities have dismantled a sophisticated fraud operation that stole over €3 million from more than 100 victims through a fake online investment scheme.

Investigations revealed the organization’s involvement in broader criminal activities, including human trafficking and drug operations, with financial movements exceeding $21 million.

Led by German prosecutors and with significant involvement from Spanish police, the multi-country operation resulted in coordinated searches across Albania, Cyprus, and Israel. One suspect was arrested in Cyprus and is awaiting potential extradition to Germany.

The criminal network functioned through two main branches: an Arab-origin group responsible for receiving global funds and a Chinese-origin network that facilitated cash delivery in Spain, compensated through cryptocurrency transactions.
