Spanish Bank to Offer Crypto Services

Spanish bank Cecabank and crypto exchange Bit2Me are set to offer a crypto service for banks, pending approval from the Spanish securities regulator.

Cecabank and Bit2Me have partnered to create a MiCA-compliant crypto platform tailored for traditional financial institutions. This platform is ready but awaits clearance from Spain’s securities authority.

According to a press release from Monday, the platform will provide crypto custody and order reception and transmission (RTO) services. Bit2Me will oversee trading, market data, and custody of over 100 cryptocurrencies, while Cecabank will offer regulatory support and banking infrastructure.

Aurora Cuadros, Cecabank’s corporate director of securities services, stated:

“With this alliance, Cecabank reinforces its position as a leading provider of post-trade services in the digital asset space, showcasing our expertise in FIAT custody.”
