Trump Demands Swift Passage of GENIUS Stablecoin Bill: ‘Get It to My Desk, ASAP’

President Donald Trump is pushing Congress to move quickly on the Guiding and Establishing National Innovation for US Stablecoins (GENIUS) Act, urging the House to pass the bill without delay.

“The Senate just passed an incredible Bill that will cement America as the UNDISPUTED leader in digital assets,” Trump declared in a fiery Truth Social post. “Now the House must act—LIGHTNING FAST. Get it to my desk, ASAP. NO DELAYS, NO ADD-ONS.”

The Senate approved the bill Tuesday in a 68-30 vote, setting the stage for a House showdown. With Republicans holding a narrow majority, the legislation—seen as key to maintaining dollar dominance in global finance—could soon reach Trump’s desk.

Senator Bill Hagerty, the bill’s sponsor, hailed it as a game-changer for businesses and consumers, enabling “near-instant payments instead of waiting days—or even weeks.”
