MoonPay Introduces Solana Staking with 8.49% Yield

MoonPay, a leading fintech firm in crypto payments and Web3 infrastructure, has unveiled a new liquid staking service for Solana (SOL) holders.

The offering allows users to earn an 8.49% annual yield by staking their SOL tokens while maintaining liquidity.

With MoonPay’s solution, users can stake as little as $1 worth of SOL and receive mpSOL, a liquid staking token that accrues rewards. Staking rewards are distributed roughly every two days, and users can unstake their tokens at any time without a lockup period.

The service launched on July 23 and is available globally, excluding New York (US) and the European Economic Area (EEA).

MoonPay enters a competitive market dominated by Solana-native staking protocols like Marinade and Jito, which also offer liquid staking tokens with comparable yields and flexible withdrawal options.
