The SEC has deferred its decision on the Truth Social Bitcoin ETF, moving the deadline to September 18. The fund, supported by Trump Media & Technology Group, seeks to trade on NYSE Arca under existing commodity trust rules.

The delay follows a broader trend, with the SEC also postponing rulings on Grayscale’s Solana Trust and a Litecoin ETF proposal.

SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce recently cautioned that regulatory approvals may slow further due to legal and operational challenges.

Despite today’s delays, the process remains faster than historical standards—spot Bitcoin ETFs took 11 years from first application to approval.
