Circle has announced strategic partnerships with payments giant Mastercard and fintech firm Finastra to integrate its USDC stablecoin into global payment systems.

The Mastercard collaboration will allow acquirers and merchants in the EEMEA region to settle card transactions in USDC and Euro Coin, with Arab Financial Services and Eazy Financial Services as initial adopters.

Concurrently, the Finastra integration will embed USDC settlement capabilities into its Global PAYplus platform, which processes trillions in daily cross-border payments for banks in 50 countries.

These moves signal a significant step in bridging digital currency with traditional finance, leveraging the regulatory clarity provided by the recent passage of the GENIUS Act.
