Lido Finance Will Open stETH Redemption in mid-May 2023

Lido Finance has announced that the redemption of the original cryptocurrency is set to be available on their liquid staking platform in mid-May 2023.

In preparation of this, the Ethereum team activated Shapella on the mainnet in mid-April, allowing validators to withdraw ETH from staking.

To ensure the network’s safety, Lido is conducting seven audits and has already spent $1.2 million.

By March 10, all bugs had been fixed and updated contracts deployed to the Zhejiang testnet in preparation for the launch of the updated protocol on the Goerli testnet.
