USDT Issuer Tether Increases its Investment in US Treasuries

Tether has seen a jump in their investments in US treasury bonds in the last four months, rising up the rankings three places to become the 22nd largest holder of such debt.

According to technical director Paolo Ardoino, the issuer of the largest stablecoin USDT now owns securities totaling over $72 billion.

This increase in reserves, which saw them add $19.5 billion since May 2023, was accompanied by the publishing of data on their financial condition.

In August, Tethers reserves amounted to an excess of $3.29 billion, with an additional increase of $850 million reported by their press service.
