Phishing Scheme Targeting MetaMask Users is Discovered
MetaMask users must be wary of fraudsters as they are using government URLs from India, Nigeria, Egypt, Colombia, Brazil, Vietnam and other countries to deceive them and steal their assets — this was reported by Cointelegraph.
According to the publication, these malicious links redirect users to a fake MetaMask website where users are asked to link their wallet, giving scammers access to their assets.
Plus, Microsoft Defender security system warns users of possible phishing on the page.
Last month, MetaMask officially warned their customers of phishing attacks via a third-party email service, Namecheap.
