US Prosecutors Will Challenge Do Kwon’s Extradition

The United States government is contesting the latest decision by the high court in Montenegro to extradite Do Kwon, the former CEO of Terraform Labs, to South Korea.

According to the Department of Justice, they are continuing to pursue Kwon’s extradition in accordance with international and bilateral agreements as well as Montenegrin law.

They also expressed appreciation for the cooperation of Montenegrin authorities in upholding the rule of law for all individuals.

Both South Korea and the United States have made extradition requests for Kwon, but are now in a disagreement over which should take precedence.

Kwon, who was the CEO of Terraform Labs, was initially set to be sent to the United States after a ruling by the High Court in Podgorica.
