Vitalik Buterin, one of the co-founders of ethereum, recently made multiple transactions worth approximately 100 ETH (~$575,000) using a privacy protocol called Railgun.

The transactions were highlighted by journalist Colin Wu, who pointed out that Railgun is an EVM privacy protocol that hides details such as the type of token, amount, and sender and recipient of transfers.

Data from the Arkham Intelligence dashboard showed that Buterin has been using the protocol for the past six months, starting with smaller amounts and gradually increasing the volume.

His most recent transaction on April 15 was for 100 ETH (~$325,000). In response to Wu’s post on social media platform X, community members speculated that Buterin may simply be using the protocol for privacy reasons, given the high level of scrutiny he receives.
