Investors awaiting new avenues for crypto exposure will have to wait longer, as the SEC has postponed its verdict on several spot cryptocurrency ETF applications. The delays impact proposed funds from industry leaders BlackRock and Franklin Templeton.

Key new deadlines set by the regulator include:

  • BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Staking Amendment: October 30
  • Franklin Templeton’s Ethereum Staking ETF: November 13
  • Franklin Templeton’s Solana and XRP ETFs: November 14

The filings state the Commission simply requires more time for consideration and are not a signal of the eventual outcome. This pause extends the anticipation for products that would offer traditional market investors direct access to cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, Solana, and XRP through familiar brokerage accounts.
