Adam Cochran, partner at CEHV fund, and other experts concluded that Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) or someone from the Alameda Research team is likely behind the BALD meme token project.

Cochran noted that one of the addresses that took part in the withdrawal of funds from the BALD pool also voted on the proposals of SushiSwap and speculated that Alameda Research launched other meme tokens. Cochran estimated that there is a 90% chance that Bankman-Fried or his associate like Nishad Singh was involved in the situation around BALD.

He attributed this to the almost instantaneous actions of the SBF in the context of voting and the small number of holders of tokens of the project’s governance at the time of the Founder Chief Nomi’s departure and the fact that no other major players seemed in a hurry to vote.

This was additionally supported by a scandal surrounding Caroline Ellison’s transfer of confidential information to Bankman-Fried, to which the court imposed a ban on using the Internet. Analyst hype_eth agreed with Cochran’s point of view.
