The British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission has granted Huobi Group a license to operate a virtual asset trading platform.

The exchange will now operate in the jurisdiction through a subsidiary, Brtuomi Worldwide Limited, which intends to offer clients a range of services, including spot trading in Bitcoin and Ethereum, derivatives, and other investment instruments.

The company CFO Lily Zhang has said:

“In the future, we will work closely with the British Virgin Islands regulators to develop a set of licensed trading products and services and help grow the cryptocurrency industry in the territory.”
