
Michael Saylor Advises Pakistan on Crypto Strategy as Country Explores Bitcoin Adoption
Pakistan has enlisted the expertise of Michael Saylor, Executive Chairman of MicroStrategy (now Strategy), to support its push into cryptocurrency.
Saylor met with Pakistan’s Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and State Minister for Blockchain and Crypto Bilal Bin Saqib on Sunday to discuss Bitcoin’s role in national reserves and the country’s upcoming crypto policies.
According to a press release cited by local media outlet Dawn, Saylor expressed enthusiasm about serving as an advisor, praising Pakistan’s potential in the digital asset space.
In a video shared by a Finance Ministry official on X, Saylor highlighted Pakistan’s “brilliant people” and strong business ties, using his own company’s Bitcoin strategy as an example of “intellectual leadership.”
Strategy, the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, currently owns 582,000 BTC—worth over $61 billion—according to Bitbo.
