“Rug Pull” Style Hack: Attacker Gains Admin Rights, Mints 10 Trillion Tokens in UXLINK Exploit
Reading Time: < 1 minute
UXLINK is reeling from a sophisticated attack where the exploiter hijacked the project’s admin privileges.
After becoming the new multi-signature owner, the attacker drained millions in assets and began arbitrarily minting UXLINK tokens, creating approximately 10 trillion new tokens out of thin air. This unauthorized minting has cratered the token’s value by over 70%.
While the project states that major exchanges have frozen some of the stolen funds, the integrity of the token’s supply has been severely compromised.
