Indian crypto exchange WazirX is making a dramatic comeback, announcing it will resume trading on Friday after a 16-month suspension.

The platform was shuttered following a devastating $230 million hack in July 2024, attributed to North Korea’s Lazarus Group. Co-founder Nischal Shetty thanked users for their support in achieving the “impossible task of restarting.”

Trading will be reactivated in phases over four days, marking a significant milestone in the exchange’s efforts to recover from one of the industry’s most notorious security breaches.
