The Singapore Exchange (SGX) is set to launch perpetual futures for Bitcoin and Ether on its platform, the bourse operator said in a statement Monday.
Trading is scheduled to begin on November 24 and will be restricted to accredited and institutional investors.
These derivatives, which have no expiry date and allow for high leverage, let traders speculate on crypto price movements or hedge risk without holding the actual assets.
The move by SGX comes during a period of heightened activity for digital assets, which have experienced a strong rally this year, though momentum has recently slowed due to concerns over US interest rates and economic strength.
