Crypto exchange OKX has raised fresh funding from existing investors at a valuation of $25 billion, although it did not disclose the size of the round.
Standard Chartered’s SC Ventures, Qube Research & Technologies, Ripple and stablecoin issuer Circle took part in the funding, OKX said on Tuesday.
The round extends the $200 million investment announced in March at the same valuation, when Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, invested in the exchange.
OKX said the new capital will support its expansion into a broader financial technology platform. The funding comes as OKX and ICE advance plans for a tokenised US stock trading platform.
