Australia’s Police Seizes Record Crypto Amount
The police of the Australian state of Victoria has seized a record amount of cryptos for the country as part of an investigation into drug trafficking through the darknet, The Canberra Times reports.
According to the newspaper, the police conducted six searches and detained two suspects, seizing drugs, real estate, money and cars. They confiscated around 8.5 million Australian dollars in cryptos.
Law enforcement officers identified suspects in drug trafficking using the data they obtained from the darknet marketplace Silk Road.
