Decentralized data aggregator SubQuery has recently completed a $9 million fundraising. According to the company, it will use the raised capital to build Polkadot’s first data aggregation layer.

The funding round has been led by Arrington XRP Capital, Digital Currency Group and Stratos Technologies. Other participants include Hypersphere Ventures, NGC Ventures, Wintermute and Skynet Trading.

According to the announcement made by the company today, it will continue the development of its data indexing infrastructure for all Polkadot and Kusama apps. In addition, this injection of fresh funds will allow the company to expand its technical abilities and support the open-sourcing of its software.

We should remember that SubQuery has previously raised $1.8 million in a private seed round that concluded in March 2020.
