19,110 Bitcoin ATMs Were Installed All Over the World in 2021

In 2021, on the background of the growth interest in cryptos, almost 20,000 new ATMs were installed with support for Bitcoin.

According to Finbold, as of January 1, 2021, there were 14,040 BTC ATMs in operation. Coin ATM Radar figures for Tuesday, December 28, 2021 include 33,850 ATMs. Thus, the number of devices increased by 19,110 ATMs.

Taking into account that not all Bitcoin ATMs are tracked by CoinAtmRadar, the actual number may be even larger.

It is interesting that in the third quarter of the year, despite the general decrease in the price of Bitcoin, the number of ATMs increased more than anything else. This means the market participants will be optimistic about the long-term prospects of the cryptos.

Overall, in 2021, the value of BTC has grown significantly thanks to organizations that have attracted large retail investors to the sector. According to Finbold, the leading crypto has grown by 69% since the beginning of the year.

In addition, BTC is increasingly considered as a means of savings, especially in the context of the current peak inflation.
