Binance’s US division, Binance.US, has raised $200 million in a seed round of venture capital funding, which has resulted in the company’s valuation reaching $4.5 billion.

Participants in the funding round include RRE Ventures, Foundation Capital, Original Capital, VanEck, Circle Ventures, Gaingels, Gold House and a number of other investors.

Binance.US has said that it will use the funds to develop the spot trading platform, expand the range of products and services in the near term, as well as marketing and educational initiatives.

Binance launched its US branch in 2019. In October 2021, Brian Schroeder took over as CEO of Binance.US. In this position, he replaced the former head of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency at the US Treasury, Brian Brooks, who worked for the company for just three months.
