Splinterlands Has Sold More Than 2,270 Validator Node Licenses

Splinterlands, and NFT game operator, has recently launched an open sale of licenses for validator nodes.

According to the project, node owners will be able to receive monthly rewards from the pool in the amount of 3.75 million SPS tokens. At the same time, 10% of payments are intended for 50-100 leading operators that participate in voting according to the delegated proof-of-stake consensus model.

During the pre-sale, users bought 2,000 licenses in just 11 minutes, which led to the combustion of around 14.5 million SPS and about 1 million Voucher.

In addition, about 3.6 million SPS were received into the treasury of the project’s DAO, which is equivalent to approximately $4 million.

Liam Labistour, Director of Growth at Splinterlands, has said:

“This combustion mechanism will put huge deflationary pressure on the SPS and will be a pretty revolutionary concept in the blockchain gaming space.”
