Cantina Royale to Feature Elrond Apes to Expand In-Game NFT Collections
Cantina Royale, the first title incubated by Verko, a Layer 2 Metaverse experience framework, and Elrond Apes, a collection that comprises 10,000 3D apes that are unique and randomly generated, have announced they are working together to enhance the appeal of the upcoming top-down tactical arcade shooter with play-to-earn mechanics.
According to the press release shared by the company, Elrond Apes NFTs will be included in the game and become usable across single and multiplayer battle modes.
We should take into account the fact that Elrond Apes is just one of the NFT collections that will be included in Cantina Royale, a highly-anticipated free-to-play play-to-earn game. For example, the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) will be integrated in Q3 this year.
The interoperability protocol developed by Verko is an essential part of the Cantina Royale ecosystem because it enables NFT collections to become fully functional and playable 3D in-game characters.

The initial collection of 3,000 Elrond Apes NFTs will be minted in the second half of July 2022.
