Alexa Fund, the venture arm of Amazon, has recently led a $20 million round for Superplastic, a 3D studio that previously launched NFTs on Ethereum.

Participants in the funding round include Craft Ventures, Google Ventures, Galaxy Digital, Kering, Sony Japan, Scribble Ventures, Kakao, Animoca Brands, Day One Ventures and Betaworks.

The company has raised $58 million in total.

An animated series featuring the studio’s two top virtual celebrities, Janky and Guggimon, is in development at Amazon Studios. The creators describe Toothy Bunny and Cat as “lazy and startlingly incompetent best friends” who want to succeed in life at any cost.
