Metaplanet Purchases 156 Bitcoin Worth $13.4M

Metaplanet has acquired an additional 156 Bitcoin, valued at $13.4 million, bringing its total holdings to 2,391 BTC. This purchase is part of the firm’s ongoing Bitcoin Treasury Operations.

The recent acquisition involved 156 Bitcoin at an average price of 12,952,147 yen per Bitcoin, amounting to a total of 2.021 billion yen.

With this purchase, Metaplanet’s total Bitcoin holdings now stand at 2,391 BTC, reflecting a cumulative investment of 29.828 billion yen. This move underscores Metaplanet’s continued dedication to increasing its Bitcoin reserves.

The company disclosed that in Q4 2024, its BTC Yield was 309.8%. From January 1, 2025, to March 3, 2025, it achieved a BTC Yield of 31.8%.

On January 28, 2025, Metaplanet’s Board approved the issuance of the 13th to 17th Series of Stock Acquisition Rights to EVO FUND, amounting to 21 million shares.
