The US Securities and Exchange Commission and crypto exchange Gemini have filed a joint request for a 60-day pause to explore resolving their legal dispute over Gemini Earn.

Submitted to the US District Court for the Southern District of New York on Tuesday, the letter asks to delay “all deadlines” related to the SEC’s lawsuit against Gemini from January 2023.

The lawsuit claimed the exchange offered and sold unregistered securities through its Gemini Earn program, accumulating billions in crypto assets.

The joint request follows a month after Gemini co-founder Cameron Winklevoss announced that the SEC had concluded its investigation and would not pursue enforcement against the company.
