Revolut Plans Expansion into Crypto Derivatives Market
Fintech leader Revolut is preparing to enter the crypto derivatives space, as indicated by a recent job posting seeking a General Manager (Crypto Derivatives) to spearhead the initiative.
The role, based in London, Barcelona, or Dubai, involves building the business “from scratch,” overseeing everything from product development and trading infrastructure to regulatory compliance and go-to-market strategy.
The job description outlines ambitions to create “one of the world’s most trusted, scalable, and profitable derivatives platforms,” capitalizing on Revolut’s global user base of over 50 million customers.
This push into derivatives marks the latest expansion of Revolut’s crypto services. The move follows the company’s May 19 announcement of plans to invest €1 billion ($1.1 billion) in France and pursue a local banking license.
