Zcash group steps up lobbying in Washington
Zcash advocacy group Pretty Good Policy for Zcash (PGPZ) has registered as a federal lobbyist in the US, targeting legislation affecting the digital asset industry.
The group’s registration took effect on 1 October and lists executive director Divij Pandya as its only lobbyist. Its filing identifies the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act and two crypto tax proposals among the issues it plans to address.
PGPZ was formed in June and grew out of Pretty Good Policy for Crypto, an initiative launched by Electric Coin Co. in 2022. The earlier group held policy events and congressional briefings on encryption technology.
The group was founded by Paul Brigner, who said it wants to establish a more organised and credible policy presence for Zcash in Washington.
