Ark Invest adds $2.4 million in Coinbase shares during market sell-off

Cathie Wood’s Ark Invest bought more Coinbase shares on Thursday as the cryptocurrency exchange’s stock fell nearly 10% during a broad sell-off in US equities. The investment firm also reduced its positions in Bullish and Bitmine.

Ark purchased 17,806 Coinbase shares worth $2.44 million through its Ark Innovation ETF. At the same time, it sold 109,522 Bullish shares valued at $2.27 million and 119,841 Bitmine shares worth $2.28 million across its ETFs.

The trades came as US technology stocks suffered their sharpest daily losses in months. The Nasdaq Composite fell 5.52%, its worst session since April 2025, while the S&P 500 dropped 4.36% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 3.44%.

Coinbase shares closed down 9.69% at $136.82. Bullish fell 10.46% and Bitmine dropped 12.56%.
