FTX Creditors to Receive $1.9B More in September Payout
Reading Time: < 1 minute
FTX creditors will see another major payout on September 30, with the bankruptcy court approving the release of $1.9 billion from reduced reserves.
The exchange has not yet disclosed how much will be distributed next month, but claimants must hold valid submissions by August 15 to qualify.
This marks FTX’s third major repayment wave, following $6.2 billion already returned to users—$1.2 billion in February and $5 billion in May. While 98% of creditors are set to recover 119% of their 2022 claim values, some argue this fails to account for crypto’s price appreciation since FTX’s collapse.
Payouts will be processed through BitGo, Kraken, and Payoneer, potentially influencing market liquidity as recipients reinvest funds.
