BitMine Expands Crypto Treasury with $65 Million ETH Purchase via Galaxy Digital

Digital asset firm BitMine has significantly increased its Ethereum holdings, acquiring $64.7 million worth of ETH through Galaxy Digital, according to on-chain data from Arkham Intelligence.

The transaction, executed in six transfers from Galaxy’s OTC desk on Wednesday, adds 14,665 ETH to BitMine’s treasury. While the company has not officially confirmed the purchase since its last announcement in August, the data aligns with its ambitious strategy to control 5% of ETH’s total supply.

BitMine currently leads all corporations with holdings of 1.75 million ETH, valued at approximately $7.7 billion and representing 1.44% of the total supply. This acquisition is part of a broader trend of growing corporate ETH treasuries, exemplified by SharpLink Gaming’s recent purchase of 39,008 ETH.
