Bybit Clears Major Hurdle, Secures Full Crypto License in UAE

Bybit has achieved a significant regulatory victory, securing a full Virtual Asset Platform Operator License from the UAE’s Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA). This final authorization, granted eight months after initial approval, solidifies the exchange’s legal standing in the region.

This license enables Bybit to legally offer its global trading services to customers in the UAE. The achievement builds on the company’s recent regulatory successes in Europe and Asia, marking a key step in its compliant global growth strategy.

Ben Zhou, Bybit’s co-founder and CEO, stated, “Receiving the full license from the SCA is a testament to Bybit’s unwavering commitment to building trust through compliance and transparency.”

The development comes as the UAE moves to harmonize its crypto regulations, which previously required firms to navigate a complex patchwork of local and federal approvals.
